RX Pal - User Manual: Scheduled Medication Dose Event Display

Each medication dose scheduled event is displayed in the list in the corresponding Tab section in the Dashboard. Each event contains the following components:

• Medication Picture (at this time, there is only one predefined medication picture. However, a user is allowed to assign any picture from the Gallery. This can include medication photos taken using the device camera)
• Medication Name with the Strength information. For example, Abilify (Name) 10 mg (Strength)
• Medication dose quantity. For example, 1 Tablet
• Scheduled intake time
• Time flag indicator that shows if a particular dose is past due or on time

RX Pal - User Manual: Logging a Medication Intake or Skipping a Dose

It is easy to log or record a particular scheduled medication dose event by simply tapping on the selected event in the list in one of the tabs. So, click or tap on one of the selected dose events.

The following screen will be displayed to allow either record Intake or Skip the dose:

The title bar of this screen displays the name of the drug. A user can click on the Take button in order to record that the selected dose has been taken and remove the scheduled dose event from the dashboard. Or, a user can click on the Skip button in order to record that the dose has been skipped and also remove the dose event from the dashboard.

The Dashboard screen is the first screen which appears after the application starts. The title of this screen displays the current day of the week. Since most of the prescribed medications are usually taken before, with, or after meal, the dashboard is organized to display 4 primary Tabs or Sections: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Bed. Each tab will contain medication doses scheduled to be taken at the corresponding period of time. For example, all medication doses scheduled to be taken between 7 A.M. and 9 A.M. in the morning will be displayed in the Breakfast tab. Note, after the application is started, the most appropriate Tab for the current time of the day will be selected and displayed automatically. This allows a user to quickly check what doses need to be taken in the current time period if any. The following is the example of the dashboard screen with some scheduled medication doses:

The color coding used in this screen, allows a user to quickly (without reading the text) identify which drug doses are Late and which are on time. The doses which are past due are displayed with the Red background. The doses which are on time are displayed with the Green background:

RX Pal is a software product developed under the close guidance of the registered doctor of pharmacy who has an extensive experience in the field and aware of how doctors prescribe medications and how patients take  medications.
